Bob's coming home.....

Yeeaaahhhh!!!!! Bob is coming home tomorrow! We are all VERY excited about his home coming and can't wait till he is back home!!! PARTY TIME!!!

Day #3 of surgery recovery.....

For day # 3 of Christina's surgery recovery, she was starting to feel a little bit better, but still VERY sore. So, I think she won't make it back to school until next Monday. That will make her absent days at school almost a full month of school days missed because of this! She is so tired of being home and feeling like crap! I am hoping that today, Day #4, is a better recovery day for her. Check in tomorrow to continuous updating!

Day #2 for Christina recovery.....

Well, it is day #2 for Christina's recovery, and she is hurting more today than yesterday. The air inside of her seems to be leaving now, which is making her in more pain at the moment, but knows it will be better soon, and she can't wait till then! She has been up and about walking around, which will make the recovery faster, and less scar tissue build up. I am hoping that she will make it back to school by the end of this week, but she is saying next week right now, but we will see! Anyways...Keep her in your prayers that her recovery will be fast and she will be able to get out of this house and back in school soon. She has missed almost 3 weeks of school because of this dang thing! It's time for her to get her life back!!!

Christina's surgery recovery...

Christina's surgery went well. The doctor said that he didn't foind anything else, except that the cyst was a lot bigger than he though, and it was NOT an ovarian cyst! It was located on the outside of the ovarie and fallopian tube. It was about 3 inches in diameter, which before he said about almost 4 centimeters in diameter. Big difference in size. Because it was bigger than thought, the doctor had to make the incisions a little bit bigger to where she needed a couple of stitches besides the skin glue and bandages. The pictures of the insides are from top left to right:
This picture shows the huge cyst infront of the ovarie. (You can't see the ovarie in that pic. The cyst is the one that look all veinie with the fallopian tubes stretched around it to the right.)
The 2nd pic shows it without the cyst in the picture. The other 2 pics are not important!
This picture was of Christina right after she came back to her room after surgery! She now states that even with the surgery pain, she feels a LOT better now! We are very happy to hear that!!!

The surgery date is set...

O.k. So Christina and I went to the ob/gyn today and ended up with a surgery date for this next Monday, SEPT 22nd, and 1pm. It will be a laproscopic surgery, which means it will be done as out patient surgery, which makes Christina feel a lot better knowing that! She is nervous, but who wouldn't be for their first surgery ever! I will update as more happens, so keep looking daily here.

Ashley & Gentry...

Update on them is that Ashley started college not too long ago and is enjoying it, but remembering that school is not easy! She is not sure what she wants to get a degree in yet, so is just taking it one day at a time for now!
Gentry will be going to AZfganistan for awhile at the beginning on next year and Ashley will be coming here to stay while he is gone. While she is here, she will continue to go to college, which there is one right around the corner from our house! We are looking forward to having her here with us, but will miss Gentry while he is away!

John in college...

John is enjoying his time in Tempe, AZ, at Collins College! He has a new girlfriend, who has him staying out of trouble and very religious too, which I am happy to hear! He is taking college very seriously, and more than his room-mates are. They tick him off at times, eating his food and using his stuff. He finally had one of them go home and live with his mommy, which was where he belonged since he couldn't make it on his own there. Things are going better now for him though, and he just got his NEW laptop from his school, and is VERY excited about that!

CHRISTINA & LAUREN & SURGERIES...

O.k. people! I am TOTALLY going crazy with how everything is going since Bob is gone! Both Christina & Lauren need to have surgery done! I guess when it rains it pours!!!
Lauren has a cyst on her lower lip that has been there for almost 3 months now, and she needs her wisdom teeth out too!
Christina's cyst has grown to almost 4 inches on her right ovarie and now she is starting to grow one on her left one as well. She tried birth control, and it obviously isn't working for her, so now on with a surgery! She sees the OB/GYN this Thursday and we will see from there. They FINALLY gave her some good drugs to where she can atleast get out of bed. She hasn't even been going to school because EVERYTHING was hurting her, down to even eating and drinking, and walking around. So...We will see!
Anyways...I am missing my "ME" time that I was just writing Emily Davis about getting because she can! But...as all mothers know...You are always a mother first!
I'll keep you all posted when I hear more!

KIDS & SCHOOL, and Christina's health issues.....

Well, school has been going for quite awhile now and boy am I happy! I get my time back. Well, I guess I should say that I SHOULD have MY TIME back! But...both Christina and Jessica have been sick off and on and I can't wait for that to be a done deal!!! Anyways...Jessica has only been sick a couple of times. Christina is back at being REALLY sick! Lauren is really happy in the school here, and loves her classes and has made a ton of friends there, and I am happy about that.
Christina went in for an ultrasound today so they could try to find out what is wrong. I went in the room with her. The lady that did the ultrasound said that she wasn't allowed to tell me anything, but I asked questions about general things, and she would answer those for me. She went to Christina's left ovarie first and showed it to me. Then she went to her right ovarie, and i asked her what the huge black spot was below it and she said it was part of her ovarie. Then she said that she couldn't tell me anything else about it. I am assuming, since it looked completely different than the left side, that her cyst is back, or never went away, and came in full force now! If that was the cyst, then it is VERY huge! We won't find out anything about the ultrasound until either tomorrow or Wednesday. Hopefully not too long, since Christina has been missing so much school because of it! She is in so much pain and the pain meds do not seem to be working for her any more! She has had several blessing (Prayer with the laying on of hands), and it's STILL bad. Please continue to pray for her, and I will keep you all updated when I know more! THANKS!

I AM EXHAUSTED!!!

I just have to say that I HATE shopping with girls!!! It just can NEVER go fast enough when we are shopping! We got up and left at 815 am this morning to go school clothes shopping, and we didn't get back until 445pm today. I am SOOO sore and exhausted, but it is FINALLY done! YESSSSS!!! Now bring on Wednesday for school to start! I can't wait till then so I can get some ME time again! Bob said that the Russians call the 1st day of school "Parents Celebration Day." I AGREE!!!

Dad & Mom Davis visit from CA...

This last weekend Dad and Mom (Dianna) came to visit with us and Melannie's family. We had a GREAT visit and enjoyed every moment that they were here! While they were here we all went bowling, fishing (Of course!), sight seeing in our town here in Albany, OR, and playing games and other fun things like that to spend quality family time. We can't wait to do it again! Hopefully Bob will be home the next time!
