Halloween costumes...

O.k. So normally Bob and I dress up and act REALLY stupid and stuff on Halloween, but this year I just wasn't feeling into it as much since Bob will not be back until after Thanksgiving next month. So I had just planned on taking Jessica trick-or-treating and coming home and sulking since my husband wasn't here until I fell asleep. BUT...Christina decided to have a HUGE halloween party here at the house. I was assuming that huge meant 20-25 kids or so, but I was in for a HUGE shock when she told me that they had given out over 60 invites already and will be giving out more tomorrow. SOOOO...Me being the kind of mother that I am, went out right away and bought the most appropriate costume for the party as the only adult chaparone that will be there, that would work best...a COP uniform! I plan on checking bags and pockets of everyone that comes through the door and turn away anyone that had "bad" things, etc...I also went out and got an old cap gun to use if needed, and I assume that means it will be needed a ton! I even made my own "billy stick" to ues if some kids get out of hand. Anyways...I have attached a pic of everyone's costumes. ENJOY, because I hope that we do! :-)

Day #2 Lauren's surgery recovery...

Well, Lauren woke up today with her right side of her cheek completely swollen up like a chip munk, and all of her stitches inside of her mouth were gone. She thinks she ate them off in the middle of the night some time. Oh well! At least her mouth was healed shut enough this time.

Lauren's surgery...

Well, Lauren had oral surgery today to get all 4 of her wisdom teeth out, AND a cyst in her lower lip. She had about 5 stitches in her lip. Her recovery was going well, until she popped 2 stitches in her lip today, and I had to take her back in to get re-stitched back up. Thankfully she was STILL numb from the surgery when the doctor stitched her back up. Other than that, she is doing well now and we think that her recovery will be good!

Halloween pumpkins...

Well, yesterday, Saturday, the girls and I went to a local farm here to the pumpkin patch and went for a hay ride and went out to pick our pumpkins. It was a lot of fun! Jessica got to drive the tractor that pulled all of us people out to the pumpkin patch. She had a blast driving, and wanted to do it again! Unfortunately, Lauren decided to spend her time with her boyfriend instead of enjoying the fun day that we had. Oh well! Priorities...you know? So I attached the pumpkins with the girls holding them, and the pumpkins after they were carved. Mine is a pumpkin throwing up that says, "Too much candy." Christina's pumpkin is a witch on a broom by a full moon, that says, "Happy Halloween." Jessica's pumpkin is a tombstone that says RIP, with a star in the sky. They all turned out really good! I DO have to tell you all a funny thing that Jessica said while we were carving the pumpkins. A seed accidentally fell on the floor and Max went over to eat it and Jessica freeked out yelling, "Don't eat that Max!" I told her that it would be o.k. She said that she didn't want Max to grow a pumpkin inside of his belly and die because it would be big like our pumpkins. I just had to laugh when she said that! TOO FUNNY! Another funny thing said by Jessica to add to her memory book. Hehehe

UPDATE ON CHRISTINA...

O.k. Well, I ended up having to take Christina back into the ER walk-in clinic again for the pain in her side. It turned out that she had bruised her ribs while coughing after her surgery, which made it painful for her to breathe. The doctor ended up giving her some more med's for it and it feeling much better now. Hopefully it will stay that way!

Update on Christina...

Well, Christina has been doing gerat since her surgery, but has had this pain below her right side of her ribs. Today she told me that it is making it hard for her to breathe. One of my friends, who is a nurse, told us that when Christina was down in bed to make her cough a lot so that she wouldn't get pneumonia or anything like that. Well, it really hurt for her to cough, sooo...Now hee we are with the pain in the chest. SOOO.....I guess I will be taking her to the doctors tomorrow to get checked out AGAIN! I HATE the doctors!!! I have seen it so very much with her and just despise going there now! Oh well! We will see.....

Bob left back for Russia, 2nd time...

Bob left again today to go back to Russia for time #2. This time he will only be gone for 1 month, instead of 1 1/2 months. Hopefully it will go a lot faster than last time, and with NO illnesses or other surprises! He will come back just in time for Thanks Giving. Then he will go back a 3rd time. He should be back in time for Christmass that time, and hopefully he shouldn't have to go back again after that! WE HOPE!!!
We miss him already!!!

Celine Dion in concert...

Last night both Bob and I went to Portland to go see Celine Dion in concert. We had a blast! Her concert was awesome! This was a very late Christmas present from last year. It was worth the wait!!! What a great way to spend our last night together!!! Unfortunately we didn't get to get close enough to her to get a picture with her. Oh well! Next time then! :-)

Japaneese food anyone???

We went to Tokyo Japaneese Steak House for one of Bob's last dinners here in the states before he was to leave to go back to Russia for the 2nd time. The chef asked Christina to come up and try to catch the lemon on the fork after she flipped it up in the air from off the grill. She did it! We had a great time there!

Bobs home!!!

We are all really happy that Bob is home with us for now. When the girls and I picked him up from the airport, we made signs to hold up. One of them we put "We love you Dad" on it in Russian as a joke. He got a big kick out of that!!! He will be going back to Russia again on the 17th of this month. He will most likely be going back again after that trip too! Then, this next year, he will most likely be going to Uruguay, and Australia too! He will be doing a lot of traveling with this job, but he really likes his job and the company he is with! It is a very secure job and company, so we have nothing to worry about with his job! I might just get my passport and tag along to Australia with him!
