Bob and work ~

Bob got up today to go to work for the whole day and came back just after 9. He was told that for now he is laid off until a decision is made, which the meeting will be this Tuesday. Then we will know where to go from there. I will post more when I know more. ~

John's visit from AZ and family vacation ~

John came home to visit us for this week. (Monday thru Friday) We had a good time visiting, and went to the dunes to go quadding for a bit. We had a lot of fun. Christina felt o.k. for the 1 day that she was out quadding. It was great family fun! John made a video of our family time at the dunes. To go and see it please go to my facebook page. Here are some pictures of our trip. There is a old ship box bashed up with barnacles all over it. A picture of the dunes. A picture of Christina and bob. Here is one of Christina trying to hide her face because she thinks she is fat. SHEESH! 4 of the others are of John. 1 has Christina in the background. The person on the red quad is Jessica. ENJOY! ~

UPDATE on family ~

O.k. We thought that Christina might have an issue with either her gallbladder, or have cushings disease, since ALL of her symptoms where a symptom of cushings. So last Wednesday, we went into the hospital and had her bllod checked out for the disease, and we just got the results back of BOTH tests, and was told that her gallbladder looks fine and her liver has some inflamed fat cells around it, but that it is fine too. Then the doctors told us the results of her Cushings Disease test. They said that the results came back fine also. I don't know if that is true though since our doctor didnt know much about it, so we will be going to get another opinion from a specialist hopefully here in town. SOMETHING is wrong with her and we WILL find someone that will find out what it is! She currently has an appt set at Children's hospital in the middle of August. Hopefully we wont need to go there and will find an answer before that time. We are just so tired of trying to find out what is going on with Chrstina and her health, and just want answers so she can get better and get on with her life as a normal almost 16 year old! This has been going on for 1 1/2 years now and it has to end soon! Please continue to keep her in your prayers that a doctor will find out what is wrong with her so we can be done with this whole thing! Thank you!

THEN, Bob just got called today and was told for the time being he is not going back to Russia again. They pulled everyone out of Russia and flew them back home today, and are not planning on sending anyone back again until the Russians pay them what they owe. This is really stupid and has been going on this way for quite awhile now. So, we don't know if Bob will be working any more, or have to be on unemployment now. His job really doesn't have anything else on the table right now due to the economy, soooo..... If Bob doesn't go back to work for them again, we might have to move out of our house into something cheaper so that we will be able to make it fine without him working. I bring in good money as a disabled veteran, but our mortgage payment is $3000 a month, so in order to have money for other bills, that wont work for us. It's o.k. Though. We will be better off than most other families that 1 parent looses a job. So, keep him in your prayers too with his job situation. Thanks!

At the doctors with Christina ~

I took Christina to the doctors today and she has gained another 15 lbs. That is 30 lbs in about 2 months. They took her blood and are going to check her Tyroid, and she has an appt for another ultrasound to get her galbladder checked out. It would be nice if we could get some answers. The doctor is also going to call Children's hospital up in Portland and talk to the doctor's there directly about Christina's case and see what she can do to get her in earlier than the middle of AUG. I hope that something happens as far as Christina's health goes. SOMEONE needs to find out WHAT it is that is giving Christina all this pain and stuff.
Please continue to keep her in your prayers. Thanks! ~

Another update on Christina ~

We finally got a date set up at the Children's Hospital in Portland for Christina. It is currently set up for AUG 17th, 2009 at 1:10 p.m. I was pretty upset that they wouldn't get her in sooner! They said that the doctors didn't deem it nessessary to see her right away after looking over her file. I asked them, "What needs to happen for you to see her sooner? Does she need to be dying? Waiting that long, who knows what could happen between now and then!" I was told that our doctor would have to call there and talk to their doctor and talk in detail about Christina's case so they could get more information, and our doctor tell them that she thinks it is nessessary to get Christina in ASAP, or as they said, "URGENT!" I had said that my doctor sent an URGENT order with the files when they were sent to them. The lady couldn't give me any other information. So...This Thursday we are going back into our doctor here to talk to her about it and see what she can do to get her in sooner than that. So I will let everyone know once we get word.
As for Christina and her high school this year...She has missed over 3/4th of this year, but passed all but her P.E. 1st semester, and so far had to drop her Spanish and P.E. second semester, and is currently passing 3 of her 5 classes. She still has to take her finals for 2 more classes, then we will see how those go! I am just impressed that she has passed anything all year without being at school. I got a tudor about 2 months ago, and that is why I think she is passing most this semester. She hasnt been to school for the last 1 1/2 months, and went only 1-2 days before that, then was out another month before that. I think she has only been to school a total of maybe 10 days this whole 2nd semester.
Anyways...Thanks for the prayers and support from everyone! Keep those prayers coming! ~
